🇬🇧 ENG: New Dry Leaf Disc Retrofit Tutorial

Starting position of old dry leaf set-up

Step 1: Gently slide the grey dry leaf ball off the thermistor tip:

Step 2: Cut the tie reps holding the thermistor and the metal rod to de-install them:

Step 3: Remove the sensor from the metal rod and make sure the metal part is exactly 35mm long. Cut off a piece of black covering if necessary:

Step 4: Use a glove and thermal paste to apply a thin layer of the special paste on the metal part of the sensor:

Step 5: Insert the thermistor metal tip fully into the new Dry Leaf Disc:

Step 6: Install the metal rod with the new Dry Leaf Disc combination into the metal holder of the Dry Air sensor —> make sure the black surface is facing up / towards the camera’s view.

The end of the metal rod fits very tightly in the metal holder of the dry air, it only fits 1 way, with the black part of the dry leaf facing up:

make sure to insert it all the way:

Step 7: If inserted correctly, the 2 white pieces will fit on the metal frame to hold the metal rod in place:

Step 8: (Optional): Secure the thermistor and wire with a zip tie to make it look neat
