→ Alert settings: when, and to whom

Open Alerts → Alert settings. These settings apply to every alert at this location unless an individual alert overrides them, so they’re worth getting right once.

In order to create your first alert, you will first have to define both:

When to Notify AND who to notify. The who can be either in the app or to a specific email or phone number.

When to notify

The three options combine rather than compete — you can be paged immediately and get the same alert in the evening summary.

Notify immediately — sent as soon as the alert opens.
Only within a time window — hold delivery to defined hours.
Daily summary — one digest instead of, or alongside, the live pings.

In-app

Show a banner in the app when an alert is open works independently of the channels on the right. It’s the quiet option: nothing leaves the platform, but the user account sees the state.

Who to notify

Three channels — Email, SMS and WhatsApp — and a channel switches on the moment it has a recipient. Add addresses and numbers in international format (+31612345678). WhatsApp numbers carry a Verified badge once confirmed; an unverified number won’t receive anything.

→Creating New Alerts

Pick the alert type

Click + New alert and choose from the dropdown. The two options open different forms — you can’t switch type after creating, so pick deliberately.

You can set two types of alerts Device Offline or Sensor Condition.

Device offline

This one is short. Give it a name, say how long a device may stay silent, and optionally exclude devices.

Alert name	Required. Name it for what it watches, not what it is — “Nord sensors quiet > 30 min” beats “Offline alert 1”.
Not reporting for	The silence a device is allowed before the alert opens, in minutes. Defaults to 30. Set it comfortably above your normal reporting interval so a single missed transmission doesn’t wake anyone.
Except these devices	Optional. Leave it empty to monitor everything at this location. Anything listed here never triggers this alert.

Sensor Condition

This is the one that carries plant logic. You build a condition out of a reading, an operator, and something to compare it against — then decide whether all or any of your conditions must hold.

Trigger when all / any	all means every condition must be true at once — use it to narrow a rule down. any fires on the first one that trips — use it to cover several devices with one alert.
Variable 1	The reading you’re watching: Air Temperature, VPD Air, S Pore EC, Dry Leaf Temp, Battery percentage — whatever that device reports.
From	Which device the reading comes from. Both selectors need filling before the condition counts; until then the field reads “Please select variable and device.”
Operator	How the two sides are compared — above, below, and so on.
Variable 2 + From	What you’re comparing against: a threshold, or a second reading with its own device. Comparing two readings is what makes rules like leaf temperature below dew point possible.
