PAR Calibration via Golden Node

📌
IMPORTANT:
  1. The placement of sensors will directly affect the quality of the calibration.
  2. All devices should be within range of the central station (gateway).
  3. Sensors, along with the Golden Node, must remain in a fixed position for 48 hours, from midnight to midnight.
  4. Once completed, please share the Golden Node ID, Node ID(s), and the date range when the sensors were placed with support@sigrow.com.

Instructions:

  1. Place the Golden Node directly amongst the nodes that need calibration.
    • Make sure that the Gold Node and the node(s) to be calibrated are at the same height and same orientation. Ideally, place the nodes where you plan to use them, such as in the greenhouse. All nodes should be receiving the same light conditions. Try to avoid placing any nodes where they might be in shadow throughout the day. In addition, supporting beams should not cast any shadows on the sensors during the day of calibration.
    • It is possible to calibrate 1 and up to a maximum of 6 nodes simultaneously. We do not recommend more as the distance of the nodes to the Golden Node will effect the calibration. If there are more than 6 sensors to calibrate, the calibration should take place in batches. See Figure 1.

  2. PAR remote calibration is based on a measurement correction by DLI (Day Light Integral). Therefore, the Golden Node and the node(s) to be calibrated must remain stationary in the same position from 00:00 to 23:59 the next day to collect the necessary data for calibration. During these two days, neither the Golden Node nor the sensors cannot be moved.
  3. 📌
We request 48hrs in order to have 1 calibration day (00:00-23:59) and 1 validation day (00:00-23:59).
  4. The calibration is done manually by us. Please share a photo of the placement, the Golden Node ID, Node(s) ID, and the Date when the sensors were in a fixed position from 00:00 - 23:59 to support@sigrow.com. Once we have this information, we can extract the necessary details and apply the calibration.

The information needed:

  • Golden Node ID
  • Node IDs
  • Date range of placement
  • Photo of placement
📌
Once the calibrations are complete, we ask you to please return the Golden Node to us. When shipping, please share the tracking link to support@sigrow.com. And if shipping from abroad (Outside NL) please mark the package as a return. Thank you in advance!
