How to replace Sensor batteries

This article shows how to replace batteries in our older generation sensors with non-rechargeable batteries.

Older generation AirNode, AirPro, SoilPro

💡
Requirements: 2 AA batteries per sensor

  1. Open remote node by pulling/wiggling top off.
  2. Slide the printed circuit board (PCB) out of the case. If you have a SoilPro be careful not to pull too hard or you may damage the soil probe cable connection (See above left image)
  3. Replace the existing 2 AA batteries.
  4. Slide the PCB back into the case. Please be mindful of the orientation of the PCB and match the bottom of PCB with the asymmetric hole in the bottom of the case (see above left image). Replace the top.
  5. You're done! Sensor should resume working as before.

Mass Start Scale

Requirements: 2 AA batteries per sensor 1 screwdriver - Philips head 2
  1. Remove the top tray and use the screwdriver on the 6 screws to open the compartment in the middle of the bottom frame. (See images below)
  2. Replace the 2 AA alkaline batteries
  3. Close the lid and tighten the screws. You're done!
