General Information
Alerts are set on 3 different levels, from most to least inclusive: user level, central level, and sensor level.
These warning alerts are disabled by default on the user and central level.
For example, if alerts are enabled for the user and central level, but disabled for all sensors, you will not receive alert emails.
Where in the App can I set alerts?
Alerts are set in the configuration menu. This is found via the gear icon at the top right of the Nodes Map, Charts, and Timelapse Pages.
The following images show where to control the three alert levels. If you would like to receive alerts, please make sure they are all set to "enabled". The first 2 levels are found in the configuration menu. The 3rd level is found by clicking on the specific sensor within the Nodes Map page.
1. User level
2. Central level
3. Sensor level
Found in Nodes Map by clicking on the green tile for each sensor.
When do you receive alerts?
Variable alerts
If you set min and max values for variables and provide an email in "alert emails" (see image under section Central level), notifications are sent each hour between 6am and 8pm UTC. These alerts are sent to those listed in “emails for alerts”.
Sensor status warning alerts
Emailed at 8am if within the last 2 hours it was detected that a sensor has low battery, or low radio signal.
Sensor is offline alerts
Sent on each full hour if it is detected that a sensor is down. However this is only sent once. If an hour passes and the sensor is still down, you will not receive another notification. You will receive a notification when it's detected that the sensor starts uploading again.
